Hello Scotland

173nsm and about 40h later.

North/East, the compass needle seemed to be glued on this position. On the water I really loose track on time… I didn’t even realize that days went by. I just admired the light play of the sun coming and going.

No wind, waves calmed down and we kept in heading north/east, another sunset, sailing under the moon, sunrise…

I counted about four other ships, someone saw the head of a seal…

Next island we see will be Scottish. And so isle of Islay appeared on the horizon, and then on starboard site.

We were aiming for Oban, therefore had to keep going, passing isle if mull and a straight line to the port. We wished. The current was quit strong and we had to stay closer to land than we wanted before crossing the water diagonal. It looked more like a Zickzack pattern, tacking our way up.

But hey, we got there in the end…
