The sight of a polar bear is really impressive. Wales and Walerosses are still on the list. And a polar fox for me.
We saw the fin of a wale in Ireland on that tour were I felt so miserable seasick for the first time. I don’t even know what type of wale it was. The fin was black, though.
We had big hopes in the waters up here but the most of the time it is pretty foggy and if an animal doesn’t knock on the door we would probably not have seen it. Tonight is clearer, the water is plain and this could be good conditions. So instead of heading to Longyearbyen we will go a bit more north for to night to set over to Prince Karl Foreland where the only known permanent residence of a Waleross herd is ment to be.
The midnight sun shines to our right and left you can’t tell where the water ends and the sky begins. Again.
