Back in homeland.

Hamburg, stop three and the last on my 3 great cities in 24h tour. Walking into the airport building I pass by a prominent sing ” Bundesrepublik Deutschland”. I kept walking passed by but turned around. I’ve been in and out of the country in the last three year so uncountable times but never really…

Chillout Zone Airport Stockholm

The stop over in Oslo was quick, the airport quieter than the last time and my civilization shock didn’t happen this time. I remember me sitting in Oslo hiding behind my back pack and wondering how to manage the 5m that were between me and the gate but full of people who wouldn’t stand still….

Sleeping beauty – a boat full.

It 4am. The first alarm goes off.  Mine is set for quarter past. I thought that is a safe one. Like where ever I am by that time in town I’d make it to the boat, get my bags and run off to the Bus station. Well maybe I’d have a bit of a sprint…

Good morning Ålesund

Good morning sunshine. We are back in Ålesund, the place that sparked my fire for Norway in June. I’ve seen different sites of the country since then, been to the ever grey Tromsø with its colorful arctic flowers, been to glaciers, on land strips with no trees at all, in areas with more polar bears…

Last note on the bucket situation.

I went to bed pretty mutch after my shift. People got more and more quiet during the day and food got refused. No one really no one wanted to be the first one to break the ice… Me neither, but anyhow is wouldn’t have counted as we girls have to squat over it to pee…

Wind is good for Ålesund

Which has its down side as well, 24hours longer with no toilet. The bucket topic is on a different level. As it were till now just girls using to pee, the guys are now discussing, who will be the first doing a big business on the bucket. Someone needs to break the ice…  Beside this……

Good morning… Sun is out, water calm

And nothing reminds on the last two days…  The route is south and sometimes it’s good if nothing new is to report.  I washed all my underwear (4) last night as I had just one left. By that I got a bit over board and also washed my woolen long pants and the two functional…

Rørvig, heading south

The storm calmed down over night and we left Rørvig in the morning. Not as early as planned as we wanted to take the opportunity to get a new toilet. As the guys repaired the blocked pump yesterday and cleaned everything from urine stone the also detected that the screws holding the toilet and the…

Calling in at Rørvig for the night.

As the storm builds up we decided to take the tour between the little islands and deal with nasty shallow areas instead of getting blown away on the ocean side.  We reach a habour on the Inner Vikna, Rørvig and planning on staying over night until the worst is over and keep continuing our journey…

Out of Service

Well, a lot things happens on a boat but actually this is the first time that I really experience the nightmare of a toilet out of order. We had it flooding the boat a several times but this time someone forgot to that the basket next to it is for paper and the toilet just…

It’s getting windy and wet…

The calm before the storm. We have a lot to expect: wind 35m/s, rain 16mm/12h… We are prepared, come what may. And now we catch the last rays of sun. S/Y Fairwinds – Lets Nonen est Omen. ⛵️☀️💨💦🌊

Barbeque, fish and a little rain in Nordfjord

Leaving the Arctic circle or not, that doesn’t change anything on our habits. Fishing and Barbeque. We cought plenty on our way and are looking forward to a nice spot at the end of the Nordfjord.  The flora has changed. The trees are more and taller as well. The top of the mountains carry some…
